Helping others makes sense. And when goodwill is combined with action, beautiful things happen. This is how the company collection Naše Světluška (Our Firefly) came into being, which since 2007 has been helping to finance the purchase, upbringing, and training of guide dogs for the blind in cooperation with the organization Vodicí pes, z. s. (Guide Dog). State support only covers dogs in active training – the purchase of a puppy and its first year of life is entirely dependent on voluntary donations.

This year, as part of the Naše Světluška challenge, we collected kilometers – employees walked, ran, and cycled – and Geis converted these kilometers into financial support for the training of guide dogs for the blind. Thanks to this, we were able to welcome a new member to our Geis family – a female dog named Shine. Her training will help a specific person with a visual impairment lead a more independent life.

In addition, our assistance is also supported in the long term by a number of employees who contribute regularly in the form of payroll deductions. Thanks to this combination of one-time and regular donations, we have been able to support eleven guide dogs.

Shine is proof that even a little help can have a big impact. We would like to thank everyone who helps us change the world for the better.
